Sam Totman / October 2006 Japanese

Q:How did you get the chance to go into the United States? Roadrunner records or your management?

A: I think it was My space.com. Before the CD hit on the street, we got a lot of access through the internet. Something like such the interest/support led the band to the US.

Q: Why the DragonForce has been welcomed so much in the US where is the one of the most against countries for this style of music?

A: In the US, there were few bands like us, therefor we were welcomed as a band something new. In the Europe, there are many bands of melodic/speed metal. Then sometimes we are just regarded as a band like a follower of Helloween etc, but the US is not.

Q: Then how was playing in the US actually? What is the difference between UK?

A: America is cool! 2000-3000 fans come to the venue, it's same as UK! Even the country is big! But I think in UK is more popular.

Q:Where is your next target?

A: It's hard to say we are so popular in the US, Europe and Japan too. Then we'll make there hotter.

- That's all! Sorry for the short one, because I cought him at the recent festival called Loudpark held in Japan, then asked. He was already drunk like always ... for sure hahahahaha! But he answered kindly to my questions. Thank you Sam!
