Review / No Fear Music Tour in Cleveland Ohaio US, 5th April 2007 - Reviewer: Ryan Thanks so much!

We arrived at about 5:30 at the venue and stood in line waiting for the doors to open. Around six, a camera crew came through and video taped everyone yelling, "No Fear!" It around then that I spotted Sam and Vadim and gave them a quick hand shake. We got on the floor right up front toward the right of the stage.

First out was
He Is Legend. Vocals were hidden by the over powered bass. Overall, they weren't too bad, but it was good to get there and see them because the floor filled up fast for Chimaira:

Chimaira got an awesome response from the crowd. Lots of smoke and flashing lights. I still couldn't hear the guitars over the bass though, but now I started thinking that it was because I was right by the speakers. During the third song, my friend pulled be away from the rail and launched be into the mosh pit. I ended up in 4 mosh pits during the set that I didn't want to be in. It's okay though, I'm a bigger guy and took it like a man.

Setlist:
Resurrection
Power Trip
Nothing Remains
Empire
Severed
The Dehumanizing Process
Pure Hatred

Next up was the long awaited DragonForce! They walked out one by one and Herman, Sam, Fred ran out during the "FOOOOOOOOORRRRCCCEEE!!!!!" part! Fred took center stage and began playing the intro to Revolution Deathsquad. ZP came out duing the pause in the intro yelling, "Cleveland, make some fucking noise!!!!!!!!" Because we were by those damn speakers, the bass and drums were too loud, but this time I could hear the keyboards, vocals, and guitars alot better. They played key on too! However, the crowd response wasn't the best. I did my homework though. ZP kept spraying us with water too, lol. My friend who was into DragonForce said they fuckin sucked. I asked him why and he said, "They weren't heavy enough and there were no pits!" I go, "Dude! They're power metal and gays mosh to power metal!" Needless to say my friend doesn't appreciate what DragonForce is all about. Also, they had limited stage room, so they weren't running or jumping as much.

Setlist:
Revolution Deathsquad
Fury of the Storm
Operation Ground and Pound
My Spirit Will Go On
Through the Fire and Flames
Valley of the Damned

Afterwords, FYE were having an organized meet and greet. Me, my bro, and my friends Chelsea and Marty went to go meet them. I think Chelsea felt left out considering mostly guys were standing in line to meet them, lol. Fred was really cool, and Vadim recognized me from myspace, lol. Herman seemed tired and he was really quiet so I tried not to bug him too much. ZP thanked me for coming down and supporting them. Dave was pretty cool but because the FYE people kept wanting people to move I couldn't talk to him much. Sam was drunk as usual and he signed my CD inlay and started drawing penises all over. Then he wrote the word CUNT over Herman's face. I told him he was the better guitar player. Then the FYE woman grabs me away from the table and I left my signed stuff behind, but Sam gave it back, lol. Great guys and I was glad to finally meet them.

We went upstairs for the remainder of Killswitch. They only played for like an hour. Being further away from the speakers, the sound def. sounded better, lol. They still aren't a favorite though.

After the show, the D-Bag kid who didn't like DF started saying how I was a pussy for not staying on the floor for Killswitch. I could careless. I saw DragonForce and met them!

Overall, I give the whole show a 5/5! Thanks DragonForce for coming, enjoy the rest of your tour, hope to see you back soon, and don't let anyone ever tell you what to do!

Thanks again Ryan! It was nice to know how the show was and you were so lucky :) - Ms X/Webmaster
